Oliver Steffens studied law at the Universities of Bayreuth and Surrey/England, obtained an LL.M. in International Business Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science (1993) and a Dr jur from the University of Bayreuth with his thesis „British Competition Law under Discussion“ as well as a Diploma in Economics and Law with a concentration on competition policy (1996). After Legal clerkship in Bayreuth and Rome Oliver Steffens started his career in the international law department of a leading German merchant bank (1997) before he became an attorney with one of the leading German law firms. In 2002 Oliver Steffens was one of the founding partners of the Munich and Brussels offices of one of the top 25 US law firms. As equity partner he headed up the German antitrust and regulatory practice before he founded his own firm STEFFENS.
